A Little About Miranda Garner B.A.

Brought up in the seaside town of Kent, Miranda was awarded a scholarship to a private school at 11 years old where her talent was first recognised. Awarded another scholarship, Miranda continued art at Dartington College of Arts. It was here she discovered her painting style of expressionism and that she was a landscape painter with a strong talent for pattern within her work.

In between leaving school and completing her degree, Miranda was invited to be a guest to the Catalonian fishing village of Cadaques, on the Costa Brava. At the time she associated with noted artists such as: David Martin, Bob Venosa, Richard Hamilton, Dieter Roth, Salvador Dali and the great great Granddaughter of Henry Matisse, Catherine Monnier. She had a long association there and even sold her first painting to Dieter Roth.

She now resides in Totnes, in the South West of England, where she spends her time painting the beautiful landscape of Devon. Her work has sold internationally and is currently displayed in The Ciderpress in Dartington. She has retired but is still very passionate about her art.
